On Saturday, April 14, our school hosted the 5th annual “Science Olympics.” It was a great success, as students from grades 4,5 and 6 challenged themselves to work through a series of engaging and hands-on science puzzles and activities. It required a team -like approach and a high level of cooperation to achieve the stated goals at each station. In the end, UMS won the competition with the most overall points accumulated. Congratulations UMS scientists!
We would like to thank Mr. Kohl for organizing the event. We also appreciate the role Mr. Osmar played by opening and closing the ceremonies and Ms. Worrall, Ms. Michalowska and Mrs. Lawton who ran the activities. The students were fully engaged, happy and excited to be part of a team and all schools represented themselves wonderfully with hard working and bright competitors.
