In May, Senior Casa classes had a visit from “Nao” the schools autonomous, programm able humanoid robot that can walk, talk, listen to you and even recognize your face! Nao led the students through some Tai Chi and the action song, “Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes”. The children were delighted to be able to interact with Nao and look forward to learning more about, and spending more time with, their new friend during the next school year in our state-of-the-art STEAM lab! Grandparents Welcomed to UMS! During the months of May and June, our Casa classes hold their annual Grandparents Day! Grandparents are invited into the classroom and treated to songs, poems, artwork, picnics and tours of the school. All of the Grandparents leave after their visit with smiles on their faces and truly appreciate this opportunity to join their grandchildren in class. We are so pleased that they are able to join us and the students are so proud to show off their school!
