We are pleased to report upon our various technological initiatives and advanced programming that have been implemented this academic school year. A focus of this past term has been our pilot project, MathSpace. This re-source was offered to our Grade Eight advanced and Grade Eight GATE students during the first term of study. This program offers a customizable comprehension lateral extension of questioning to further enhance student learning. Due to the feedback and success of this program, we are pleased to announce that we will be introducing this pro-gram to our Grade Two to Seven classes as well.
MathSpace allows for a personalized learning experience by utilizing an AI (Artificial Intelligence) system to deter-mine specific areas of need for further study, practice, and improvement, and delivers practice questions to allow students to have a greater understanding of the content. We will be offering staff professional development on the forum of MathSpace to our homeroom staff members in order to successfully implement this program. After the initial period of time, homeroom teachers will report on results, as MathSpace also provides detailed analytic reports of individual student development and gains.
